Minor Works

Approach

Minor Works is a Bristol based architecture practice focused on careful, considered change. Our projects include new homes, house extensions and residential and commercial refurbishments at a range of scales.

In the British construction industry, ‘minor works’ refers to a standard contract for small scale construction projects. We have adopted this title not to describe the scale of our ambition, but to define the focus of our methodology. We believe that architecture is a cumulative discipline; there is no major work that is not first a composition of minor decisions.

By focusing on the junction, the threshold and the material interface, we ensure that every project is grounded in technical precision and enduring quality and that the finished building feels coherent, permanent and true to its purpose.
